Our families have lived in Mt. Pleasant, well ... forever! We’ve watched our town grow from Isle of Palms connector to Highway 41 and beyond. We are parents of children who are attending or have graduated from our Charleston County schools, and we’ve welcomed grandchildren to our beaches. This is our home and we consider all of you our neighbors.

Meet Franne Schwarb:
Franne and her late husband Mark met in New York City and married in 1971. By 1978, their family had settled in the Atlanta suburbs. She had followed her husband across the country and back again as he changed jobs and companies and had given birth to three children, each in a different state. By 1991, as her oldest child was leaving for college and the younger two were becoming more self-sufficient, she had only had two careers in her life: nurse and mother. Her Realtor® told her, “I think you would make a great real estate agent.” She decided it was time to do something for herself and registered for real estate school. As funny as it sounds, real estate seemed to be Franne's path to fulfillment in middle age.
Her real estate career began in Atlanta, where the majority of her clients were corporate relocations. They usually arrived on a Thursday, bought a home quickly, and left on Sunday or Monday. It was fun and exciting to help people relocate to a new area, just as she had relocated so many times before.
When Franne's husband took a job in Charleston, she wasn’t sure she wanted to go. Eighteen years in Atlanta had made that city feel like home, but she decided to make a go of it and off she went to start a new adventure. Franne continued her real estate career in Mount Pleasant, first in general brokerage and then as a site agent at Dunes West. When Dunes West changed owners she went back to general brokerage and has been helping people move ever since.
Franne is licensed as a Broker in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and she is a Realtor®, which means she is bound by the National Association of Realtors code of ethics. She's also a member of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage “A” relocation team and certified to work with USAA and Navy Federal buyers and many relocation companies, including Cartus.
Real Estate is what Franne does, and she loves her job. She has been a Realtor® for 25 years. She and fellow team member Chari laughingly say they work 25 hours a day, seven days a week. But that’s fine by her and her supportive husband of 45 years, three grown children, and four grandchildren.
Meet Chari Karinshak:
Chari was born in Athens, Georgia, and grew up on a farm in South Georgia. (She still remembers how to birth a calf. Now how many Realtors® do you know who can do that?) Chari met her husband David at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. They moved to Charleston in 1993 and were married in 1995.
Chari has three children: Christopher, who is living the Hawaiian life on the north shore of Oahu; Lauren, a sophomore attending Georgia Southern University on a soccer scholarship; and Ben, a freshman at Wando High School. All three were born in the same hospital room in downtown Charleston.
Chari and her family love sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. She is a true animal lover and is proud to say she has four 4-legged babies.
Chari entered the real estate business in 2007 and is a licensed Broker in South Carolina.
Chari knows that the real estate process can be stressful so she tries to lighten the mood and make it pleasurable and rewarding for her clients. Her professional demeanor puts clients at ease so they can focus on their real estate goals. Chari’s easy-going personality combine with her real estate knowledge and skills to make it easy and enjoyable to work with her.
Meet Yvette Grist:
Yvette Grist brings hard work, energy, integrity, and heart in every detail of your real estate transaction. She is certified “Homegrown” – born and raised Downtown in a family of docking pilots, with cousins and siblings distributed throughout the tri-county area. After attending graduate school at USC, she returned home to raise her own family. Her Southern hospitality and love of Charleston is contagious. She’ll be the first and last to tell you that Charleston is the best place in the world to grow up, attend college, be single, get married, raise a family, and retire.
Yvette has her South Carolina Brokers license and brings over 10 years of real estate knowledge with her including extensive new home and construction experience. She’s committed to excellent customer care and will employ her lifetime of knowledge of the Lowcountry to help you address all of your real estate needs.
